This is what some of our guests say (see also reviews on Holiday-Rentals and Trip Advisor):
"The house is simply wonderful. Very stylish all in 70s style. The terrasse is terrific with the most wonderful view you can imagine. And super quiet despite central location as the road is above you. The kids enjoyed swimming in the sea every day even though we came in April! Nice restaurants nearby." - Angela, Berlin, Germany (April 2022)
"Great apartment! Francesco and care takers are super friendly and very helpful with everything. Apartment is very clean, has a great terrace and view, and the property, with the pool, the private elevator to the rocky beach, the parking facility, and walking distance to Isola Bella and the gondola to Taormina makes it a great location for a 1-2 week holiday. 5min drive to the grocery store also helps. Would be good to have had a little more things like hand/bath soap, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, trash bags etc, but that’s a minor thing. Apartment easily sleeps 6, and is well maintained, the airco’s in each room really are a life saver, as are the mosquito nets in all the windows/terrace door and the sun screen on the terrace! Recommend this place for sure!" - Jens, Holland (September 2021)
"This is a wonderful apartment in a really great spot and with the added bonus of parking. You will not get a better view to wake up to. Thanks very much for your help with the late booking Francesco and the checking in process. Taormina is a must stay place in Sicily" - Ben, UK (October 2020)
"Nicely set out, the back terrace overlooking the sea is its best feature. The apartment complex is well looked after with a great communal pool" - Inese, UK/Australia, (October 2019)
"Wonderfully idiosyncratic property . We loved it. Everything we needed was there. The garden overlooking the sea was charming, cool under the beautiful olive tree. So delightful to watch the little geckos. Everyone we encountered were pleasant, gentle and helpful. Rosetta was a delight and so helpful. For us it was a special week. We were there to celebrate the part my husband, my daughters father had played in our lives. He died in January this year. It was the perfect place to do that." - Margaret, UK (July 2019)
"Steps or an elevator take you down to the sea, where you can swim between the rocks and caves and snorkel and enjoy looking at the fish. However, jellyfish sometimes prevent you from going into the water. In that case you can enjoy an outside semi-circular pool that is stuck to the rocks high above the sea. The patio is lovely and shaded with a few trees with a breathtaking view, also from the rooms on the upper floor. The apartment and kitchen is well-equipped with a washing machine on the inner-side room, opposite the corridor. The kitchen has all you need, but it would be nice if the host would leave a little of the basic needs, for example salt or dishwasher soap. We left a complete package for the next one to enjoy. The beds and showers are comfortable and the apartment is basically clean but might need some small maintenance like fixing a dripping A/C on the inner room, stoppers for the wooden shutters that slam in the wind, fixing a few tiles on the patio, fixing fly screens, etc. But this in no way diminished from us having an amazing stay." - Sandra, Melbourne, Australia (July 2018)
"This villa is a condo in a complex of about 20 or so units. The view from our balcony was just as you see in the photos and by far the most beautiful view in all of Isola Bella. All of the hotels and other locations have obstructed views but here you are literally hanging over the cliff. Straight down in the elevator is the private rock deck swimming area that was just amazing. There are chairs available for sunning and during the week we were pretty much the only ones there. We also used the two of the other public beaches, renting chairs and umbrellas but concluded our swimming area was much better. The complex pool was also just as it appears. It is a no edge pool with that gorgeous view. The actual condo was 3 stories. The living space and kitchen was the ground floor. We had 6 people and the couch could fit us all comfortably. The second floor had two bedrooms and a bathroom. The balconies for these two rooms have that amazing view. The third bedroom was a flight of stairs up. It was just a bedroom and bathroom, not much light but perfect for sleeping. The house also had AC. We were about a 15 minute walk to the center of town where there were restaurants and markets. The tram up to Taormina was 15 minute walk. Taormina was fabulous. Just a beautiful town with shops and restaurants and a lot of night life. The information that Francesco sends out prior was very helpful and very informative. He was so helpful and responsive with any questions I had. I would highly recommend this home." - Sheri, US (June 2018)
"We thoroughly recommend Villa Suk to anyone who is looking for a superb location with great facilities including an excellent shared pool and good access to the sea via a lift (or stairs) and a well maintained beach platform. Access to Taormina is good either via the funicular which is a 10 minute walk away or by car with plentiful paid parking on the edge of the old town. The outdoor terrace is superb with excellent lounging and dining facilities with unsurpassed views over Isola Bella. Dining here each night as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our stay. Villa Suk is an excellent base for touring this part of Sicily with good access to the A18 about 5 minutes away. The villa itself has all necessary cooking equipment but it is not the most luxurious of places but nevertheless very comfortable. The owner Francesco was most helpful and attentive from our first contact. Our only one minor problem was attended to immediately with regular updates on its resolution. All in all it is a great choice, 5 star!" - Margot & Rodger, Melbourne, Australia (July 2014)
"Look no further, this is the only place to stay in Taormina! Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. My wife and I stayed at Villa Suk for a week with our 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter. Very comfortable with everything you need at your fingertips. The villa was well appointed, clean, quiet and as advertised. Check in and out were easy and hassle free. No words can describe or do justice to the view! We never wanted to leave the private patio. When we did, it was only minutes to the public beaches, Isola Bella or the historic (much busier) town center with all the shopping, restaurants etc you could want. The kids loved the pool and taking the elevator down to the private rocky cove for snorkeling and exploring. 10 minutes away (by car) were bakeries, butchers and markets. The caretaker, Rosetta, was wonderful with local connections and recommendations for restaurants etc. I recommend Villa Suk without reservation for a fantastic vacation home in Taormina! Did I mention the view?......" - Miller V., North Caroline, US (June 2013)
"If you come to Taormina, stay at Villa Suk! This is a truly PERFECT location. The complex Il Suk is in Taormina Mare (on the edge of the cliff overlooking gorgeous Isola Bella Bay), away from the Taormina crowds and yet, just a few minutes away from the city center. The garden of the villa is beautiful, it is facing the East, and if you are an early riser, the sunrise over waters is simply breathtaking. The complex' beach is rocky, so if you do not mind walking about 15 min., you will be at the beautiful Isola Bella beach, with crystal clean shallow waters and pebbles. If you don't speak Italian, your best source for information is nearby Hotel Capotaormina, with its friendly staff, ready to help. Francesco, the villa owner, is the most wonderful and will answer all your questions as well. Make sure you visit Etna during your stay. Use Sicily Off Road for your guide. Take a bus up to Castelmolla village and don't forget the Godfather film locations, Savoca and Forza d'Agro." - Janna W., Dallas, Texas, US (May 2013)
"Five of us stayed at Villa Suk for a week. The views from the terrace, infinity pool, and beach are stunning. The living & dining areas are open and spacious. We ate most dinners in and found the kitchen to be just what we needed. Villa Suk is located perfectly for day trips to Giardini Naxos, Taormina, Isola Bella, Siricusi, and Etna. We shopped for our dinner supplies in G.Naxos, finding delightful produce, meat & fish markets. Francesco, the owner, was very helpful in giving us suggestions for site seeing. We are definitely recommending Villa Suk to friends for their travels next year!" - David W., Newcastle, US (October 2012)
"This appartment is located over Isolabella Bay with stunning views and an ideal position for seeing the wonderful sights of Sicily - both nearby (such as Taormina and Castelmola) and along the eastern coast via car (e.g. Syracusa, Alcantara Gorge, and Mount Etna). There is a dedicated swimming pool and easy access to a private shorefront. Supermarkets and restaurants are within easy reach. My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing holiday with our 3 ground up children and my mother. An idylic location - very highly recommended!" - Jenny B., Surrey, UK (July 2012)
"My friends & I enjoyed a wonderful visit to beautiful Sicily. The highlight of our trip was enjoying morning coffee or evening dinners on the villa’s terrace overlooking the fantastic sea & Isola Bella. I am sure it is the most beautiful view I’ve ever had the pleasure to see! The villa is very spacious. And we had the lovely seaside terrace to ourselves. We did a lot of cooking in the villa. The stove, oven & refrigerator worked fine. The dishwasher does not seem to clean the dishes well, so we hand-washed all of them". - Cathy E., Bettendorf, US (October 2011)
"The 6 of us had a wonderful time at Villa Suk, with pleanty of room for meals especially on the outside area taking in the view. My son in law improvised with the BBQ and used one of the wire coathangers to stop the coals falling through - we had 2 delightful BBQ seafood meals sitting outside after buying from the seafood shop at G.Naxos. I'm pleased that I found the villa on the website as it was a difficult one to place for us requiring 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a swimming pool and access to the beach and Taormina. By the way, the internet access was fine". - Jim R., Sidney, Australia (Sept-Oct 2011)
"We spent the most fantastic week staying at beautiful Villa Suk. From the moment we arrived and walked on to the terrace to take in the fantastic view, we fell in love with this charming villa. The villa is so well appointed and comfortable and one really has the sense of being a guest in someone's well cared for home, rather than a tourist renting accommodation. The ambience of the complex of villas, which seemed to have more Italians than overseas tourists staying there, set the scene for a week of delights. Morning swims in the complex's private swimming spot, which was reached by a fantastic lift that descends down 50 metres through the cliff to arrive at the cave leading to the crystal blue water below, followed by lunch in one of the many fabulous restaurants within walking distance. An afternoon trip to Taormina or the incredible hill top town of Castelmola, with its ancient winding streets. So much to do but such a pleasure to just be quiet with a book and a glass of wine, on the terrace. The difficult decisions of each day! The owner, Francesco was just so lovely and helpful with local information and suggestions for trips and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble for him. A bonus was to be able to use the internet stick which comes with the villa, with plenty of capacity for emailing. A truly idyllic holiday, that we will never forget. Unmatched for a spectacular view, the Villa Suk is a comfortable and well-situated apartment just below the beautiful town of Taormina" - Jenelle S., Pearl Beach, Australia (June 2011)
"A group of four girlfriends just returned from an incredible vacation at Villa Suk! Everything was exactly as described on the website and the views are even more spectacular—if that's possible. The most important aspects in selecting a vacation location to our group are the outside views, privacy, comfortable outside seating for entertaining, and proximity of fun day trips. Villa Suk was perfect! We enjoyed traveling to many lovely towns during the day and returned to the villa in the evenings to cook and enjoy the beautiful outside patio and dining area. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The beach area is incredible and we spent a couple of hours each morning swimming in the blue water. The pool is incredible—even more beautiful than the pictures. Francesco was very helpful to us from the very beginning. We relied on his information for getting around and finding local supermarkets, restaurants, etc. You can trust his recommendations! We were able to walk to most things we needed but also decided to rent a car for a couple of days to tour the island on our own. Though a car is not necessarily required - we thoroughly enjoyed exploring on our own. This was our 4th trip to Italy and we all agree that it ranks at the top of our list as one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations. I highly recommend it. Unmatched for a spectacular view, the Villa Suk is a comfortable and well-situated apartment just below the beautiful town of Taormina" - Cindy B., Georgia, USA (May 2011)
"Unmatched for a spectacular view, the Villa Suk is a comfortable and well-situated apartment just below the beautiful town of Taormina" - Donna L., Connecticut, USA (September 2010)
"A group of friends spent a fantastic week at Villa Suk. The views from the villa are incredible and the villa bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are well set out The weather was great and dining outside was superb. Highly recommended". - John M., Melbourne, Australia (September 2010)
"Regarding feedbacks, I can only say that the villa met all of our expectations. It is in a really nice location close enough to Taormina and other points of interest. Mosquitoes were a bit anoying at night but nothing is perfect in this world!!!" - Alexandre B., Montreal, Canada (May 2010)
"Villa SUK in Taormina is a perfect base camp for hiking around Mount Etna, visiting historic places and at the end of the day sitting in the garden overlooking the marvellous Isola Bella Bay and tasting a drink. Our 6 teenagers particularly appreciated the pool and the rocky shores of the complex for snorkeling. Nobody get bored at this places". - Georges H., Bern, Switzerland (October 2009)
"We really enjoyed our stay at your villa, it is in such a beautiful location. We were extremely reluctant to leave!" - Mark F., UK (September 2009)
"Once again thank you for letting us rent your home in Taormina. We enjoyed its beautiful and convenient location. The views from the villas garden was exceptional. We can only wonder how nice it would have been visiting in a warmer time of the year and being able to enjoy the evenings out sitting in the garden with its views" - Aksel N., US/Denmark (December-January 2009)
"Thank you for making our stay in Taormina so easy! The villa exceeded our expectations for our first holiday with small children. It was very convenient for the nearby beaches and shops which we were able to walk to with a baby in a buggy and a 2 year old with no problem. The space downstairs and outside was much appreciated by both children for running and crawling around, and the view from the garden and upstairs bedrooms was spectacular and very restful. We so enjoyed snorkeling around the coast below and near the villa, and the little ones really enjoyed playing on the beaches and eating at the beach restaurant at Isola Bella which is so friendly. The situation of the villa was great for access without car to beaches, shops, and to Taormina with the cable car, and we were able to get the latest UK papers 100 metres away at the Hotel Capotaormina - PERFECT!" - Miranda H., Tunbridge Wells, UK (October 2008)
"We spent one truly memorable week in Villa Suk, which in a few words was truly stunning. From the outset, Francesco was more than helpful, promptly answering all our queries as well as giving great recommendations on what to do and see in the area. The villa itself was beautiful with three spacious bedrooms, kitchen and large living area, catering for all our needs. The garden provided perfect stage for barbequed dinners and fabulous sunsets. We can only recommend Villa Suk as the perfect holiday destination with a group of friends. We are certainly looking forward to returning next year". - Ivo & Jackie M., Munich, Germany (September 2008)
"An idyllic setting with truly the most beautiful views imaginable. We stayed in mid September and had the pool pretty much to ourselves. It was peaceful and relaxing. The villa is spacious and the kitchen well stocked; a home from home. The little town is about 15 minutes away but you soon get used to the walk and it helps to burn off all the extra calories. And the cable car to Taormina is very quick. The beach is great with nice places to eat and the snorkelling is brilliant; such clear water. I would return in an instant". - Lisa V. & Martin A., London, UK (September 2008)
